Camouflage

(From the CD "Sophomore Jinx")
it's a hard road to travel
but it knows her by name
she's been here so many times
she don't even complain
as she opens her eyes
everything looks the same
she lets down her defenses
to lose all her senses
and soaks it all in once again

and although it's different nothing has changed
but deeper inside of her something is driving her
here once again like a means to an end

and i will be the atmosphere that surrounds you
you won't even know that i'm there at all
i'll be the sun as it sets down beside you
you won't see me through my camouflage

well she followed the rain
into this sleepy town
trying to slip in between
all the thoughts falling down
doesn't know where she's at
takes a good look around
as she walks through the door
to the same town before
that she thought she left so far behind

and although it's different nothing has changed
but deeper inside of her something is driving her
here once again like a means to an end

and i will be the atmosphere that surrounds you
you won't even know that i'm there at all
i'll be the sun as it sets down beside you
you won't see me through my camouflage

she thinks to herself has this all been a dream
Lord, find me a home somewhere out of the rain
i feel like a stranger if you know what i mean
all highs and lows but with no in betweens
and no in betweens if you know what i mean

and i will be the atmosphere that surrounds you
you won't even know that i'm there at all
i'll be the sun as it sets down beside you
you won't see me through my camouflage

and i will be the atmosphere that surrounds you
you won't even know that i'm there at all
i'll be the sun as it sets down beside you
you won't see me through my camouflage
